You taught me to look up
to the stars.
You told me that you’d fallen in love
with a night sky
But I like the moon
With all its shine
All its phases
Along with its tides
I like the moon,
you like the stars;
I guess it’s all just part
of the same old sky
...Right?
I sit in a wagon, with nowhere to be
I lay here pondering if this road will ever cease
There’s snow on the window; its cold seeps inside.
As I look out, there are shivers down my spine
…
One station, someone walked in
They stayed there and refused to leave
They made the train warm;
Made their stay seem worthwhile.
The sound of the steam and the opening door;
People went in, people went by,
Countless stations; yet that’s the least I cared for,
For the only lingering ones were you and I.
…
Windows made way for beauty outside:
Stunning views, starry skies;
But I only ever focused with what was inside;
It was the plac
Taking back every action.
Erasing all there ever was.
Never knowing their reaction
Yet your imagination stings like a wasp.
Separating each word into a different faction.
Not a single person dares to ask.
At the end of the day this is just another distraction
Allowing for time to slip past.
Rereading, rechecking, no room for inaction.
No mistakes could ever pass.
